Green Socialist Notes Episode 53: The Fight Against Police Brutality Continues

This week Howie responds to the reintroduction of progressive Democrats’ Green New Deal Non-Binding Resolution before being joined by Ernesto Ayala from Tele-Jaguar.com for a conversation about police brutality.

Ernesto Ayala was born in the San Fernando Valley, California and have resided in Pacoima my whole life. I grew up in the Chicano Liberation struggle in particular within El Partido Nacional de La Raza Unida and that has guided me throughout. I have been involved as well with both MEChA and the Brown Berets. Professionally I worked as a Union Representative and Organizer for 10 years mostly with the SEIU. During that time I have also served on the Pacoima Neighborhood Council and have been involved in various grassroots organizing efforts in the North East San Fernando Valley. I have returned to complete my education at Cal State University Northridge and should be graduating with my BA in Chicano Studies by the end of this year. I am a proud father to a Chicanita, before the pandemic a bus driver and proudly live in Pacoima.
